The time has come: the new ILCA 4 MK2 sail is expected to be available from April 2026.
The ILCA 4 MK2 uses a more robust 4.93 oz sailcloth and features a bi-radial construction that is better suited to modern, stiffer materials. Further updates include:

Standardized reinforcement patches

An updated batten configuration, aligned with the MK2 sail family

A look and feel closer to the ILCA 7 MK2, ensuring greater consistency across the MK2 range
These changes are intended to improve durability and consistency while keeping the impact on costs as low as possible.
The commercial release of the ILCA 4 MK2 sail is planned for early April 2026. ILCA’s intention is for the sail to become class legal in early August 2026, in time for the ILCA 4 World Championship, subject to final confirmation. The current ILCA 4 sail will remain fully class legal.
Please note: The MK2 battens differ from those of the current ILCA 4 sail.
The ILCA 4 MK2 sail is ILCA class legal.
This is the new sail design. The sail area is ideal for sailors with a body weight of 35–55 kg.
The sail area is 4.7 m².
The sail is manufactured by three different sailmakers: Hyde, North, and Pryde.

Ein Segelsack des Herstellers Windesign für Dein ILCA / Laser Segel, um es aufgerollt und faltenfrei zu verstauen und zu schützen. Der Segelsack bietet optimalen Schutz vor Regen und Sonne. Diese digitalen Segelnummern sind klassenkonform für das ILCA 4 (ehemals Laser 4.7) Segel. Laut Klassenregeln müssen die letzten 4 Ziffern eine dunkle Farbe haben (bevorzugt schwarz), die ersten 2 Ziffern müssen eine andere Farbe haben (bevorzugt rot). Die Länderkennzeichen sind nur bei internationalen Regatten notwendig und müssen eine einheitliche Farbe haben (in der Regel schwarz). selbstklebend alle Nummern lassen sich aus den Achten zurechtschneiden Klassenkonform nach den ILCA Klassenregeln Die Anleitung zum Einkleben der Segelnummern findest Du HIER. Die Vermesser und Regattaleitungen sind wenig flexibel für Interpretationen. Tipp: Halte Dich daran und es bleibt Dir Ärger zur unpassenden Zeit erspart.
