Vakaros Atlas 2 / Atlas Edge – Advanced Multifunction Instrument for Racing Sailors
The Vakaros Atlas 2 and Atlas Edge are advanced multifunction sailing instruments designed for ambitious racing sailors who rely on precise data and reliable performance on the water. Powered by a high-performance 25 Hz GPS sensor, the device delivers extremely accurate position tracking and real-time performance data to support tactical decision-making during races.
Thanks to the integrated battery, the Atlas operates completely wirelessly and does not require an external power supply. Combined with the included mounting bracket, the device can be positioned freely on board, making it ideal for dinghies, sport boats, and racing yachts.
Despite its powerful functionality, the Atlas remains extremely compact and lightweight. Weighing only 175 g, it fits easily into any racing setup without adding unnecessary weight.

All data is collected either through the device’s integrated sensors or via Bluetooth connectivity to external sensors, such as those from Airmar, Calypso, or Cyclops Marine.
The internal battery supports wireless charging and provides a runtime of up to 100 hours, ensuring reliable operation throughout long regatta events or extended training sessions.
Difference Between Atlas 2 and Atlas Edge
Both devices feature identical hardware. The key difference lies in the software configuration:
